Obama
Since Obama's election in 2008 he has raised sharp hopes in Americans mind. He promised to solve many problems such as the global crisis, to stop the war against Iraq, to close Guantanamo or still to have a clear and precise policy concerning the environment. We will focus on this last point and see if one year after his investiture he kept his promises and applied his politics towards the global warming issue or if he had disappointed his voters by betraying his ideals. Thus we are going to be interested in the various propositions of Obama on the environmental issue before showing that he is far away from making meet the hopes.
[...] Obama had made of the environment a crucial point of his electoral program; however one year later we notice that his ambitions were too big. Indeed, more important problems appeared which obliged him to give up his initial policy. During March 2009, about 12,000 students and young people went down to the streets in order to demand the passage of a major climate change bill in an attempt to bring the US back into the international environment. It's a year now that Obama has been elected as the new President of the United States and the American still don't have a climate bill and the popular dissatisfaction grows. [...]
[...] It is up to him to boost the American economy by taking drastic financial measures. Another of his major reform, which could explain the failure of his environment policy, is about the healthcare system. His ideas were criticized as socialist and the citizen won't vote for it. To conclude we can say that Obama saw himself the man who was going to change the environmental policy of the United States. He wanted to make a change with regard to his predecessor G.W. [...]
