Spaces, exchanges, money, immigration, humanity, power of money
The notion I'm going to talk about is Spaces and Exchanges. This notion alludes to the geographical and symbolic areas that all societies occupy and the interactions between men and different societies. Our world is built on the exploration and conquest of new spaces. The different cultural, economic, sociological and language interactions characterized our modern world.
[...] II) Money causes inequalities Indeed, money increases economic and social inequalities. For example, I choose to present a drawing titled “Feed the world” by Bansky, a famous street artist in Grain Britain. Bansky put into relief the presence of an overweight American couple on a rickshaw by using colors, whereas he paints the kid who is pulling the rickshaw in grey. That shows the fact that rich countries, symbolized by the couple, don't pay attention to poor countries, symbolized by the kid, and growing rich by means of poor countries where we starve to death. [...] In that optic, the fair trade was created. It's a new conception of trade which aims to reduce poverty and brings an ethical consumerism in order to protect the world. To present it, I chose an ad of the company Fairtrade Labelling Organizations International with the slogan “Make it happen, choose fairtrade”. In fact, the ad is effective because it promises us that if we choose something with fair trade, we'll be able to help Moussa and his family in Mali. [...]

Nevertheless, I would like to illustrate this notion through the theme of money in order to tell how it can change our relation with the world because in some ways, we have become dependent of money.
