For many centuries, Capitalism has been the only economic system in the industrialized world. In the present world, this system is in crisis. Billions of people live below the poverty line without any access to food, health care or housing. By capitalism, we mean a system of production that belongs to a few individuals. Many theorists such as Karl Marx have imagined another way of organizing the world: Socialism. Socialism is a centralized system of production that meets the needs of people. In this document, we find out if the time has come to change the societal mindset to that of socialism. We will talk about the crisis of capitalism and explore another possible and viable vision of economics, called socialism.

In western countries, the workers' purchasing power is lower and lower. Today, prices and bills are going sky high while real wages lag behind inflation. If at least Capitalism was an efficient system, there could be a reason for it continuing its massacre. But, Capitalism is inefficient too. This crisis was not the first. Capitalism is made of crises. [...]

[...] Regardless of what the Soviet Union became, October 1917 shows a new society is viable and possible. Society must be changed. Capitalism is a tragedy for humanity. Socialism is viable and possible. The damages made to the environment and the fact that living conditions are worsening are an emergency signal that the time of the revolution has come. In a true democracy, every political decision must be made by the people and not by companies. In a socialist system, the people will decide. This will be a total democracy.
