Are we ready to join the buy nothing day activists? We must say that our overconsumption is causing lots of damages nowadays. Buy nothing day is an international day of protest against consumerism observed by social activists. Buy nothing day activists want to highlight the environmental and ethical consequences of consumerism. So why can't we close our wallets and don't spend a cent for just 24 hours?

The planet is being destroyed and we can see it. It is due to the greenhouse effect and the global warming cause in part by excessive consumption. Activists try to create awareness among the public about the calamities that may happen in the near future, we have to protect our planet from the mishaps.

So the buy nothing day is a good way to denounce the ad industry which deceives and lures people. Our society is becoming more and more materialistic. We have lost our moral values. I think that is unfair that developed countries which account only 20% or less of the world population are consuming over 80% of the earth's natural resources. [...]

In fact, go on a speeding spree is a good way to boost the economy and it's create job. Furthermore, it would probably harm economy in particular little shops. And it's possible that people lose their jobs because of me and I don't want it. In conclusion, I will say that even I am not convinced at all by the buy nothing day, I agree that we should do something and refrain from shopping more and more material goods. [...]
