Växjö is known as the greenest city in Europe, and this is its main promotional vector. We think it is interesting to investigate on what criteria this statement is based; because it is the main part of the product development and innovation plan. Moreover, Växjö has tried to reverse the trend from its former position; in the 1970's the city was really poorly environmentally structured. That is why it is fascinating to observe the efforts made that lead to this evolution. This challenge involves stakes at different levels, such as environmental, political, social, commercial and touristic. Nowadays, the environment and sustainable energies are becoming increasingly important issues. For instance, global warming and CO2 emission are on everyone's minds. Politicians all around the world have the responsibility of finding solutions to ensure the Earth's future. Authorities seem to support the green direction of the city, and politicians are concerned with offering an attractive image. This is now one of the main reasons for tourists to visit this town.
[...] At this time, we are more able to get acquainted with the subject and to go deeper inside to evaluate the most important latent questions. So, the next step is to create two different questionnaires: One targeted to inhabitants in order to know their feelings and suggestions about their perception of the green life in Växjö. To have a good rate of return, the people can send it back in an anonymous way. But we would like them to fill in their age, their social background and their sex. This is to have cues on the respondents' profiles. [...]

They are concerned about the environment and are working together to keep Växjö a green city. It seems like even the companies are trying to help each other with their knowledge in sustainable energies, for example VEAB with biomass. Furthermore it is not still done yet.
