Water use and climate change : the effects of climate change on global water cycle

What I particularly want to stress in this essay is the necessary link that we have to make between climate change and water resources. It shows that it's necessary to understand those links and to investigate them if we want to find and propose recommendations and adaptations in order to solve the situation. I will try to focus on the analysis of the scenarios which are really complex and uncertain. However, it is necessary and essential to figure out the solutions, because the process of adaptation is extremely time consuming. The predictions agree to say that water scarcity and hydrological extreme situations will increase because of various elements like population increase, changes of lifestyles and pollution. One of the main elements involved in that change is the climate change.

That is the case in Bangladesh were bicycles are given to dwellers of villages because they nearly rives are facing drought period and they need to travel a lot to find water and food. However, all those innovations and adaptation remain weak and one of the reasons is that every scientific scenario remains uncertain. [...]

[...] Once of the solution has to be seen in Peru , with the operation Marca II trying to create a huge tunnel under the Andes in order to bring water to the population that are facing water stress. But, we have to remember that those solutions solve the problem of water shortage only for a short term and don't preserve glaciers. Yet, glaciers are essential sources for works on climate change given the fact that they can be read by researchers as climate archives. Finally, those regions will face some extreme situations such as drought periods and flood periods. [...]
