In our lives, we meet a lot of people. Some of them are just people that we see once, and others are real friends who stay with us for a long time. Among these people, each individual is different; all of us have our own distinctive personality. It seems that this personality is created by others, especially during childhood because we are more innocent, and this kind of everyday life knowledge is easier to internalize. Family and school are the two main forums of socialization and thanks to this position they are able to impart to each individual some norms and values. It is thus interesting to wonder in what way peers have an influence on the individual. To answer this question, I am first going to present the impact of family on children, and then see how peers in school can contribute to the individual's identity.

We can see three primary sources of childhood symbolic culture: Media which are often criticised for the violence, the lack of educational values, sexism or appeal to hedonism. However it would be interesting to see how parents use this material, if they limit the access to television, if they speak of what the child saw but these kinds of study are almost unexplored. Indeed, when we did not want to "share" the mother, brothers and sisters are an entourage present during childhood and they so will generate aspects of the personality. Firstly, the position of siblings is important. According to Lachal, a French sociologist, the first child is an "enfant-roi" (child- king) insofar as it is the representation of the great desire to have a child for the parents. [...]
[...] So the more a child grows, the more the game takes place in interactions with father. It promotes challenge and incitement, but also empowerment of a child because the father, during these games provides less assistance and reinforcements, it is then for the child to live alone. So we can say that families bring different influence to children. Family members are the first "other" facing the child. With them he has his first emotional ties. It is in the family he will make his first experiences of pleasure and displeasure, love and hate. [...]

Indeed according to him, each family has a cultural capital, it is in fact the cultural resource which gives us a power and a place in the society and this power is more and less handed to the children. To summarize, some children have very little chance to reach the best social seats and that can be explained by the position and the way of life of the first people that the child meets. [...]
