We were on a fulfilling home stay as my family was very sociable, helpful and cooked very well. In addition we were provided with intensive English lessons on morning at Kent School of English enjoying our activities on afternoons.
For many students like me, the experience of staying with British people is an important part of the course.
[...] In fact, the presentation was very complete with support documents. As the second visit was more interesting, I choose to describe this company briefly. London: A cosmopolitan city When you arrive in London, you will be surprised by the mixture of cultures. A multitude of colours, languages, cooking, lifestyles to live and to evolve together. Even if this ethnic mixture sometimes gave rise to disorders and to social malaises, the particular atmosphere of this big city contributed to its new dimension turned towards Music, Fashion and to its dynamism According to the British demographic census (inventory) of of the 7.5 million Londoners are considered as belonging to the ethnic group "white" and are classified as non- whites of the inhabitants consider themselves Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshis or native of another Asian country (mainly of Sri Lanka or the Indian subcontinent) consider themselves black (approximately black-African and black of the Caribbean islands) consider themselves as stemming from some Ethnic groups; describe themselves as Chinese and are classified in another category (mainly Philippine, Japanese and Vietnamese). [...] A piece of advice: plan this attraction at the end of the day, when the sun is setting During the 30 minutes of the tour of the wheel, you will see London in the sunlight, then nightfall with the monuments which get clearer, one real entertainment show! Finally, districts such as Notting Hill and Greenwich are very interesting to see and establish a real "breath of air". Indeed, the city of London is much polluted. Medias The media are very particular in my opinion and very different: On one side, the free newspapers that are Lite and London Paper. These newspapers are, in my opinion, less interesting than newspapers such 20 minutes. [...]
[...] The dominant colour on this bridge is blue which is very surprising and unusual for a monument. It is the oldest museum in the world. The entrance is free. The museum is enormous and houses very interesting objects and statues. [...]
[...] 2 As we got to visit London on Friday, I was especially astonished about the life in this city, so I will focus the rest of my report on. Our stay in London was not too much long, but we did enjoy that, and we walked for more than 6 hours discovering the main streets, doing shopping, visiting monuments, etc. Company visits We have the chance to visit two companies that operate in Logistics & Transportation. The first visit concerned Airport Connection. This local company is responsible, mainly, for carrying passengers to different airports of London via coaches. [...]
