A few things are more important than a speech in the political field, especially in election time. Sometimes subject of controversy, it is always a subject of debate and of opinion.
[...] Are they more election - centered ? How do the arguments organize themselves in the writing ? We will take the specific example of Barack OBAMA in order to study this subject. This political man has been elected twice as president of the United States of America and so, has given quite a number of speeches over the years. We will focus on the electoral speeches, of course, but we would allow ourselves to bring about another speech, if it would prove to be useful to the study. [...]
[...] We can also assume that we can interprate the most reccurent themes as keys to understand the values that seem most importants to the american voters. To some extent, it even symbolizes an ideal for the country, which has convinced people twice in the past. And finally, we can make the hypothesis that these reccurent themes have efficiently convince voters, so that it may explain the victory of the election and in some ways, influence the representation of the country from an foreign perspective. [...] But considering the amount of work and preparation behind these speeches, there seems to be a lot involved in the writing process so what can we learn from it ? It seems obvious that the themes will not be the same in every speeches, especially if we consider different political movements and historical periods. It seems interesting to focus on the speeches given in election time, to see which arguments different political sides use as effective means to decide voters. What are the reccurent themes of electoral speeches and what can we deduce from them ? [...]
