He is in his twenties and lives a monotonous life in a predominantly white neighborhood. He's unintentionally prejudiced, carrying various stereotypes about Mexican culture due to his limited exposure. [...]

[...] James undergoes a complete transformation by living with them. He is shedding his previous ideas and embracing the warmth and diversity of Mexican culture. He even ends up falling in love with Maria, the eldest daughter of the Alvarez. Our movie is named La fiesta of the heart . The name is a mix between English and Spanish which is the language spoken in Mexico. This project could be helpful in promoting Latino visibility in the media because the main character James is an average American man. [...]

[...] The family is very tight-knitted and always support each others. Paula and her husband have three children. The eldest Maria is the same age as James. As James becomes a part of their daily life, he initially struggles to adapt to their customs, loud gatherings and their traditional cooking. However, he will begin to see the beauty of their culture and drop down the stereotypes he used to have. With Maria with whom he forms a close bond James learns about the significance of Dia de los Muertos which is an important day in Mexican culture. [...]
