The death penalty is abolished for several years in Canada. However, the opinion polls reveal that a majority of the Canadian population continue wishing to put back it in function. The application of the death penalty varies from a country to the other. At our American neighbouring for example, numerous States still applied the death penalty, while others forbid it. The question of capital punishment always makes the object of debates, even in the countries where it was abolished. As for me, my position is clear; we have to abolish the capital punishment. My opinion will be explained in what follows.
