Who influences whom? In the sphere of media, this question remains crucial to understanding everything related to it (TV, radio, cinema etc.). We will thus examine this topic in order to determiner who the rulers are in the sphere of TV, the channels or the audience? Who determines programs? In the first part of this document, we will scan the programming logic through an analysis of US TV and in the second part we will illustrate this topic with case studies or thrillers (Colombo), and comedies (Bewitched). This will lead us to try and answer the question: who influences whom?

[...] Following that, NBC and Universal asked the authors and Peter Falk if they agreed for the creating of series whose hero would be C. Stangely ; none of them was very enthusiastic . NBC invents then a new programming system for series : the NBC Mystery Movie which broadcasts alternately 3 differents series lasting 90 minutes each : the audience interest was not aroused by the question " who committed the murder " but by " how the cop gonna arrest the guilty ?
