Marketing is the process of planning and executing the pricing, promotion, and distribution of goods, ideas, and services to create exchanges that satisfy individual and organizational goals. The term 'Catholism' comes from the Greek adjective that means 'Universal'. It refers to the Roman Catholic Church that is the main body of the Christian community. What could be the links between marketing and Catholism, and, how the Catholic Church could use marketing techniques in order to expand Catholic faith, and, on the another hand how marketers or companies could use Catholism in order to target new customers? We will therefore divide the paper in two main parts. How could Catholism use marketing to expand the Catholic faith? The faith was founded by Jesus Christ who was a Jew living in Israel 2000 years ago. He spent his whole life preaching and has been considered by Christians as the Messiah and as the god incarnate. For centuries, the Catholic Church has influenced the world and the Pope, who was still considered 100 years ago as the most important diplomatic figure in the world. Secondly, how did this happen and Catholism and marketing inluence each other ?

Jesus performed miracles just like advertising works magic. He was preaching in crowded places, squares, markets but very rarely in synagogues. After his death, the apostles took in charge the responsibility to expand the faith as Saint Paul and Saint Peter who made a lot of travels around the Mediterranean Sea. The current Catholic Church: For the past 100 years, the Catholic Church lost a lot of influenced due to the scientific improvement and a social evolution. This is particularly true since the 70's. The consumer age has started and companies were interested by people desires and were providing goods to people in developed countries. [...]

Thus, this counting does not mean anything in term of present belief. However, it's still interesting because even if they are not believer, their being baptized mean they are part of a believing family, or a catholic rooted family, and they have a catholic culture, and maybe also know a part of the catholic icons and moral principles. The Catholic Church actually tells its members this is their responsibility to announce and spread the Good News,just as Jesus Christ asked his disciples. Therefore, The Catholic Church is mainly using its networks for its promotion. [...]
