An increasing number of companies are using the 'cloud computing' to save their informations and folders on a common server. We will now explain what cloud computing is, its advantage and disadvantage and the way companies use it. 'Cloud computing consists of utilization of memory and it calculates capacities of computers and servers spread on the Internet, to hosting applications and folders.' To explain this definition, we could say that instead of saving informations on a computer, a company will rent virtual servers, which can be called 'cloud' to save their informations. These servers are connected themselves, which permit to save the informations on the web. A company can have access to their information anywhere with an Internet connection. It is not only a data center but it also has virtual servers and services. Application, software and networks can be provisioned and released with minimal management effort and with only one service provider. 'Cloud' is important for companies because it can join together application that will be used for Human resources, accountability, finances, marketing.

We will take some of the most important actors in the sector to explain what they are selling to their clients and how the companies take advantage of this. We will start with the company Google, which has launched his cloud: Google Apps and Google docs.
