Our business idea consists in creating a French cafe-creperie on one of the main streets of Nanjing. Nowadays, Nanjing is a big and fast-developing city, therefore it attracts more and more investors, foreign companies and, of course, foreigners. Our place will give the possibility for foreign people to fell themselves even for a minute as at home and for the Chinese people will give a chance to enjoy amazing atmosphere of France without leaving Nanjing. French music, cozy setting, friendly English-speaking personnel, unusual dishes and magic smell of crepes– all this is “Gourmandise”!
Our company's menu is mainly based on the particular French dish– Crepes (crepe). A crepe is a type of very thin pancake, usually made from wheat flour. The word is of French origin, deriving from the Latin crispa, meaning "curled." Crepes originated from Brittany, a region in the northwest of France, and their consumption is widespread in France and they are considered as a national dish, and they are also increasingly popular in North America and South America. In Brittany, crepes are traditionally served with cider.
Crepes are served with a variety of fillings, from the most simple with only sugar to flambeed crepes Suzette or elaborate savory fillings. Other provided dish is Galette. Crepe and Galette are very similar, but the last ones are made with Sarrazin (or buckwheat flour) and are crisper. Usually they are eaten salty, while the Crepe are made with white flour (“classic”) and eaten mainly with sweet additions.
