The company had earlier issued an advertisement seeking suitable candidates for the position as a director in the international sales and marketing service. One prospective candidate had graduated from McGill University in 1995 and had a bachelor's degree in marketing. The candidate was working as a manager in publishing for the International marketing/sales department of IBM since 2002 and had expressed desire to work for the company as a director of this department.
