Foreign market entry, Nicolas in Singapore, Europe, Australia
Since a couple of years wine has became one of the favorite beverages of Asian people. Especially in Singapore where the population is very open on the European culture. That way of life, which was just a fad in the past , tend to become a proper characteristic of Singapore.
Furthermore the country is composed by a huge number of expatriates who are, for the majority of them, from Europe or Australia, which means that for them wine is a entire part of their culture. Because of them the "wine connection" spread all around Asia.
By the way we must not forget that the wine in Asia is treated as a luxury product, indeed, it is an expensive product in those countries. Because of the export's cost and the high taxes on alcoholic products, the prices are around 40% more expensive than in Europe or Australia. Nicolas is one of the biggest wine sellers in Europe. You can find there very expensive wine and as well low priced wine.
