Despite a dramatic increase in performance and in the use of ICT during the last decade, New Technologies still have a contribution to do in economic growth and improving the quality of business relation. The emergence of Internet and new communications tools like the web 2.0, cloud computing and social media should simplify the collaboration at work. A lot of opportunities are now available for companies to develop and improve their way to communicate. The offer in collaborative work solutions is growing year over year because of the market globalization and the need for speed in business transaction.
The sector is booming. Regarding to the increasing number of employees complains about the waste of time at work, we can consider that it will become a major issue in the next few years. People receive everyday a huge amount of information that they need to sort and
organize. They also have to adapt to the technology evolution. Sometimes it can be really stressful and time consuming for the employees and managers. But tools and methods are constantly evolving in order to meet these new challenges.
[...] Their solution is to create their own corporate social plateform like an intranet. We will need to determinate in a few years if this corporate platform is better than adopt an external product. We see Google and Microsoft changing their offer early 2012 and invest in cloud technology. This step was made to answer the demand to collaborate with better tools and communicate with effciency.
