The year 1999 marked the biggest challenge in our company's history which was the internal restructuring of our production and sales. One can imagine that this process is probably a time consuming process. Besides that, we also acquired Keebler Foods in 2000. As a result of the purchase agreement, our company paid $42 in cash for each common share of Keebler (or approximately $3.6 billion in cash), including related acquisition costs. Kellogg is the world's leading producer of ready-to-eat cereal and a leading producer of convenience foods, including some snacks, toaster pastries, cereal bars, frozen waffles, and meat alternatives.

[...] The entry of Kellogg's on the Hungarian market 1. The Corporation 1.1 History In 1906 Dr. John Harry Kellogg and his brother Will Keith Kellogg in Battle Creek, Michigan found our company. The headquarter is still there. The original name of our enterprise was “Battle Creek Toasted Corn Flake Company”. Since that was too long, our founders decided to rename into the Kellogg Company in 1929. It is important to know that Dr. Kellog is the inventor of the worldwide known product “Corn Flakes”. [...]

[...] As described before, there are different rates of unemployment and productivity as a result of restructuring measures in the early 90's that are recognisable in a various enterprises, especially in the manufacturing field. Therefore, the Hungarian government supports the old-fashioned territories and helps small and middleclass firms to get better involved in the foreign capital- and technology transfer.
