Through this business plan we have decided to present you the different aspects that surround the launch of our company Business4Business. Our company is a website following the model of a business to business approach. Actually, our website is made to provide a tool to develop the networks of companies and to ease their partnerships. First of all, we have decided to develop our activity in France to test the market. We know that this sector is attracted by social networks and that some companies would be ready to enlarge their networks rapidly. However, our ending objective would be to internationalize the project.
Regarding the revenue model, we have planned to earn money thanks to the percentage that we take on the transactions between companies. Also, we will have revenues thanks to the advertisement that companies will be able to do through our website and on the premium and ultra-premium accounts that we will settle down.
Also, we think that developing a website is beneficial to us as internet and the web is daily developing. Internet is in constant growth and everything is being gathered within the web so we know that there is a potential in this sector. As a consequence, the demand should be quite high and we should find rapidly clients that are willing to modernize while using social networks in a professional way.
Even if we are evolving in a period of crisis, we know that companies are willing to maintain their businesses and we are here to help them. So, the current context could probably stimulate companies to work with us.
In addition, we are able to adapt to this situation and to propose different services that could fit everyone's needs. Going further in this discussion we know that some developing countries are recovering fast from the crisis so they would be able to adopt our project.
Following the progress of our company, we will decide in a short or longer term to internationalize. However, we know that we have a potential to exploit and that going abroad could represent a great opportunity. Starting with European countries, we will then enlarge our target markets to the USA and Asia as it is explained in our implementation plan.
[...] The sector of the social networks is increasing since 2008. We observe that in of the companies asked have ever used social networks and more than 95% is expected in 2012. As well, active merchant sites in France increased of 23% between 2007 and 2011, which means on-line stores in 2011. If we focus more on professional e-commerce, the turnover increased as well in 2011 by 10%. The B2B sector on internet represents a great opportunity as most of the companies use Internet for their professional purchase. [...]
[...] However, we can say that our clients could be modern and young SMEs/start-ups as we built sort of a social network that is helping them to develop themselves. This means that they are innovation oriented and that they are willing to be helped. - Target: Our target will be companies, especially SMEs and startups because they have reduced and limited resources and network so our website may represent a huge value to them. We focus on a B to B perspective, so it will be quite easy to reach our target. Nowadays, there exist many social networks that enable to communicate with businesses. [...]
[...] - Market survey Market survey: General information 1. Name of the company (not obligatory) 2. Where are you based? (Headquarter) 3. In which sector are you developing your activity? 4. Are you an international company or a local company? 5. How many employees do you have? Importance of network 6. To you, how important a network is? [...]
[...] SWOT Analysis: Implications: Business4Business beneficiates from real opportunities and strengths. This may compensate our weaknesses and threats. We are quite confident on our project as each of the points is not definitive and irreversible. Business Systems and Organization Proposed organizational structure: Our proposed organizational structure is the following one: We are convinced that such a simple organization will be the best way to organize our company in a first time. But, actually this is indicative, as we are a start-up and small company, all of us will be polyvalent and flexible, participating to all the tasks (especially in order to provide our specialized services, all our human resources will be mobilized). [...]
[...] Then, when we'll get internationalized, we'll need some responsible of business development in foreign countries and to recreate the same structure as we have right now. Operations Initial investment: The investments do not represent a big deal because nowadays websites are very easy to create so our main expenses will be on communication to companies to let them know our website. Planned objectives: To make benefits, we have to make strong volume and turnover. Even if we haven't got many charges, we have to make a number of commissions of in each sale between companies per month to be profitable. [...]
