In introducing this paper, the writer finds it prudent to say of the title question, that human resource management revolves around the administration of workforce in an organization. Here, the management of employees takes center stage in which their welfare is looked at in relation to the overall performance. As a matter of fact, it is the arch duty of any human resource department to evaluate and appraise the workers to ensure that both the employer and the employee flourish in a symbiotic environment.
Part one of this essay deals extensively with the criteria of recruitment. It is a protracted process that requires the concerted effort of both parties to come into a binding agreement. The human resource management also reserves the right to fire, so evaluating the issue of retention and retrenchments can hardly be avoided.
