This report is an analysis by comparison of two countries through their management of their Human Resources. Those two subjects of this essay are France and China. This choice is not just a coincidence but the result of my home country (France) and China where I have been for an internship two years ago, and still have contacts. Those two different countries are interesting to analyze with a human resources view. What is more the actual context of the global economy is really interesting so do the management in both countries. Since the beginning of business the human resources management had been a clue. From the older ways to the brand new ones, each country has its special management style and its cultural background defining its decisions and strategies in business. Above all with the comparison of two countries which are so different and so distant concerning its culture and its social codes? What about their human resources management?
The second part of this essay is focused on the status of employees because those two countries are known to be very different in this part of management. So in this report the comparison of France and China will be firstly pointed to the national context of both countries, with data, information and cultural view; then it deals with the rights of employees and their representation in the labor market.
[...] Indeed those two people share some several key points of the human resources management. Firstly the comparison was not easy to do for two countries which seam to be so different. However the relevant key points of the report are the individualistic behaviors of chinese urban labour people and the same french one with still a sizeable side of collective interest. They both also have a real important and rich culture which defines a lot of the national context. Their important need of being represented is also close from each other. [...]
[...] The average has increased of 400% in the last ten years. But today all those augmentations are not definitive in deed the growth is declining and the workforce and the costs are becoming too expansive to respect the cheap price of chinese products which made them so successful. According to the Chinese law the minimum age to work is 16. All those information concern the industry sector, in urban areas. The People's Republic of China detains a migratory balance less than -530,400,000 for 1,360,000,000 people. [...]
[...] Indeed the better example given could be the French SNCF (french national railways). This company which the majority of its capital is owned by the French State could really be sanctioned by its customers themselves as it seamed to be the past week. According to the Figaro, due to repeated strikes and lateness dozens of customers blocked the traffic in order to manifest their anger towards the company. Nowadays the SNCF is owned by the State by a majority, but there is still a huge gap between customers' needs and the actual service. [...]
[...] Indeed the existence of a trade unionism in China reflects a certain common point with France; But the Chinese one is more a facade of the actual government influence than a real entire Unionism made for the workers. For the French employee rights and representation the statement is more rich. Indeed the well-known country of the welfare-state has a entire system ruling the employment world. It is based on severals pillars; First of all the of Labour, Social Affairs and Solidarity (X. Bertrand). Mr Bertrand through is ministry makes sure the application of the labour code is strictly legal and right. This code regulates all the types of contracts made by employers. [...]
[...] Its legendary growth due to the great work force is still impressive despite the actual context. The people's republic of China is still an example of economic welfare for all the country in the world. Its growth rate is high: for 2008. But this idealistic state is turning into a more realistic shape due to the current crisis. Indeed China lost more than one point of its growth during the past year millions people compose the working people whose 165 million work in the industry. [...]
