After making a survey on a chosen subject, each student has to prove its memo and its proposal with statistics. The purpose of this memo is to request your authorization to conduct a research project to test an idea for expanding our market share. The problematic is the following: business World still feed differences between men and women on wages.
The statement of the problem is that nowadays, business women meet barriers which develop a big difference in the salaries of men and women in comparable jobs. Those differences create and make the discrimination process growing. As an hypothesis, if Government sends, every year, a "bonus income", fixed according to their income, to French executive women, they will report higher levels of respect and more positive perception of fairness.
[...] Businessmen earned a middle income of 45 k Euros per year. Wages differences increase according to the age of women and men: Pay differential, in 2007, reached for executives of less 35 years old; 13% for 35 to 44 years old and 19% for 45 years old and more. We also proposed an income bonus from government to reduce eventual inequalities if they believe into this proposition, they could give us a percentage of income bonus they think it could really kill discrimination. After having questioned some women, we put our results into an excel table to have a better view on them. However, as we transformed results into numbers to get real statistics, it is necessary to read the next legend: COLUMN AGE (YO for Years Old): COLUMN JOB SECTOR COLUMN FIRM SENIORITY COLUMN SALARY RANGE COLUMN MEN EARN MORE COLUMN % EARNED MORE COLUMN PAY DIFFERENTIAL COLUMN SOLUTION POSSIBLE COLUM INCOME BONUS COLUMN % INCOME BONUS What interest us to know is finally to discover the percentage of income bonus, Government should send to business women to reduce inequalities on salary with men, in France. [...]
[...] Thanks to our survey, we could have a small idea on that point.
