The goal in this article is to notice if a high proportion of women in corporate board and top management improve financial performance.
In this article the subject concerns gender diversity in the company. More specifically, it deals with the proportion of women in senior management and further with their ability to influence the top decisions of the company
[...] This “glass ceiling” is refers directly to diversity management. Indeed the limitation is normally based upon some form of discrimination, most often being sexism. I am interested in this subject because it helps to understand the steps of the women's evolution in our society. It is no use crying over spilt milk. The past is the past. We need to focus on the present. Nowadays, women work in new sectors and new markets with more responsibilities, such as politics, medias, or sports. [...]

[...] It was only a matter of time for the women to enter in a workplace. Obviously, it is important for the financial health of the company, which they worked in top management. Depending on Singh, V and Vinnicombe, S (2004), women bring innovation because they think differently. They introduce new methods of production, open new markets, and create new organization in the company. Therefore they started to be more competitive in a long term. Nevertheless the study shows two big problems. [...]
[...] In the very near future some European countries such as Italy, UK or France will decide on create laws for women's representations in order to improve their competitiveness and their inclusiveness. The key point for women to reach top management depend on the “glass ceiling” as it represent a huge obstacle for them. In order to break this glass ceiling, it is necessary that all the leaders help women to progress. They need more responsibilities to show they're able to do the work well. Because the proof of the pudding is in the eating. [...]
[...] They stress a lot contrary to men. Eventually we can answer the research question and tell women and men are complementary in a company. It is really important to find a compromise. Firms operating in heterogeneous environments have better results. They have to play both, their own role. But it concerns not only the gender diversity.
