For centuries, the United States of America has been well known for welcoming foreign people coming from all over the world. For many reasons, the 20th century has been the theater of several Afghan waves in the United States. Indeed, a lot of Afghan people moved to the U.S because of the war, the frail social, economical and political infrastructure. Their aim was to leave a country ravaged by the war and to find a country with educational and professional perspectives. Most of them were very well integrated, adapted very well and found good jobs such as doctors, engineers, professors, restaurants owners…Moreover, for decades, they succeeded in combining American way of life and their own traditions. Unfortunately, because of the 9/11 events their image totally changed and their lives became much more difficult.
[...] For example A Muslim American and a Christian Muslim could know better themselves and also discover agreement points on which they could learn to trust themselves. With such actions, Muslims in American companies would feel better accepted and less seen as “terrorists”. Finally, the most important problem concerning Muslims in the U.S is the lack of knowledge about Islam. For many Americans, the attacks of the twin towers are the true teaching of Islam. One of the reasons of the lack of knowledge about Islam and of all the discriminations towards Muslim is the behavior of American Medias. [...]

Hubbard, an internationally recognized expert on diversity management said that Gain diversity awareness brings access to new segments of the marketplace, enhance productivity and improve your bottom line. Diversity in a work team is not only a drawback that a manager has to manage in order to avoid harmful conflicts for the company. [...]
[...] This text is fully in relationship with the diversity management. Indeed, the 9/11 events totally changed the lives of Afghan-Americans at company level. Afghan-Americans, who were very well integrated in the society at each level before those events, were suddenly discriminated in the company and were seen as scapegoats. Most of Muslims in the U.S pay for some terrible events due to a micro-minority of Muslims. The goal of the diversity management is to manage to make cohabit in a firm people with many different origins, who does not have the same culture, the same habits, the same religion and who does not understand themselves. [...] Indeed, when Medias are talking about Muslims on American TV they are most of the time talking about bad events like terrorist attacks, extremists or still about war. In the mind of many Americans those images mean that most of the Muslims are terrorists or at least want to harm Americans. In spite of the disappointment of Muslims, the American government has not been able to solve this issue. Georges Bush even aggravated the situation talking about “Good against Evil”. All those facts have contributed to the feeling of unwelcoming of Muslims. [...]
