From the 6th of June to the 24th of August I was working in Brant Lake Camp as a kitchen staff. Brant Lake Camp is located in New York's Adirondack State Park about four hours driving time north of New York City. Brant Lake Camp is located on a 6-mile long, crystal clear lake, nested in New York's scenic Adirondack Mountains. The well groomed campus has been carefully and naturally landscaped as well as terraced to ensure that the first-class sports facilities not only enhance the program for which they were designed, but also contribute to the scenic beauty of the campus.First Class Sports Facilities include: 15 tennis courts (11 clay plus 4 all-weather), 8 basketball courts with glass backboards.

[...] Indeed I do not find anything to add about commercial policy because everything is done. Directors are from long careers in marketing company so they know what they are doing and I did not spend enough time in this country to know what people want and need. Conclusion In conclusion I can say that I am glad thtat this internship was well done and that I reached my goals. I discovered the United States and especially New York and the way of life of Americans and I have to say that I was agreeably surprised seeing that people told you things about The USA which are totally wrong. [...] There is also a dance center in Brant lake Camp only for girls. These 2 camps are a diversification strategy in order to get more people and to target the sisters (all the family's kids) About the commercial function The main preoccupation when you have so many employees for an employer is to save as money as possible without falling away the comfort kids need. So to limit expenses and to make as profits as possible, they save money on the staff (the new one who is coming for the first or the second year). [...]

[...] The goal is to provide good, nutritious and well-balanced meals that kids love. We have fresh fruit available at every meal, a salad bar, vegetarian and pasta alternatives, fresh baked breads, cakes and cookies—and a whole lot more. Special diets and allergies are also closely monitored by the pantry manager who takes care of these special meal needs. We also serve quite a few meals outside which the kids really enjoy as they do our special cookouts at the lake. [...]
