How to motivate workers with uninteresting jobs: The concept of corporate motivation appeared in 1950's. Motivation can be defined as "the willingness to exert in an effort to meet one's needs". Workers have needs which have to be met in order for them to be efficient, to do a good job and to be satisfied with it. However, nowadays a lot of work involves uninteresting jobs. What is an uninteresting job? A job is uninteresting when worker is involved in a repetitive task, and when his job doesn't require any reflection and decision of him. For example, the people who are involved in assembly line production make same movements every day. Thus motivation seems to be very important in their case, because these their job does not have any motivating content. An interesting job could be the first motivation for worker to persevere and perform.
