As we were thinking of a business communication issue, we directly put in relevance a cultural issue that cuts French productivity. This issue results from lack of communication or only the non application of the constant decision in corporate governance. That's why we will try to describe this issue to find out what's its origin. Then we will focus on 3 aspects of the company structure in which the issue could find explanations. The aim of this process is putting in relief different policies that don't match together. Finally, we will expose our recommendations to avoid duplicated work between two separated departments.
In 2000, French socialist government decided to reduce the working hours from 39 to 35 hours a week. At that moment, all over the world, it was also said that the French productivity was one of the best. As business students we have been thinking on a way to optimize the
productivity because we found that in the public service notably, the lack of communication encouraged people to duplicate work and sometimes worse to do noting. That one of the reason that encourages us to analyse a firm structure and notably answering some questions like:
What's the role of the manager?
How can an organisation structure influence the communication?
What kind of mediums of communications have to be used to improve intern communications?
[...] But on the other hand an horizontal hierarchic system in which lots of employees have the same degree of hierarchy, encourage creativity and initiatives that could influence different teams to get the same ideas and doing the same things. III Communication mediums 1 Intranet All companies have problems for intern communication. The majority of the employees discover what happened in the company in the break room. The discussions concerning the short-term and long-term objectives should not be limited to the meetings between directors that's why it's really important for the employees they fell concerned by all the directions who take the company. If a company want to succeed, its employees must understand all the objectives. [...]
[...] Credibility is under game. Rules have to be followed by everyone. It means that, the manager will have to impose procedures and they will have to be respected. What I mean is, for example, each report will be sent at the boss mailbox to. The format will be always respected etc In standardizing the communication processes, you give for fluidity to the message you want to express. It is in fluidifying the communications that you will avoid workers to do the same job because every information will be notified on the intranet and all the messages will be clear enough. [...]

Indeed, if you work in a company with an authoritarian management. The fear will create a stress atmosphere and some employees will be afraid to fail and they will withdraw into silence. The relationships that only have to exist are mutual respect and professionalism. The confidence is one of the elements the most relevant in term of relationships. [...]
[...] In a other example if a bad information are on the intranet, all the employee have access to his and so involve bad result. In big corporations, it often arrives that two department do the same things without knowing it. First of all, it can result from a bad organisation in the company; secondly it's possible that there are bad transfers of information and if it this reason, using an intranet permit to loose this problem. [...] Steve Jobs is one of this people who have a very important charisma. When its transform his vision, it always a success and he have the ability to transfer his vision for his employees. For his management, it is the same, he has the capacity to regroup all its team for same objectives and we know the result. When he does a presentation for a new product, it is a real show and he injects enthusiasm for all his team that's it could be in a first time a good manager. [...]
