This study aims to estimate the costs involved in various sterilized conditionings provided by the clinic, and to compare these costs with prices proposed by external persons. It also longs to calculate the total cost of the service and to compare it with the offer of an external person ? Stérience. It also looks at highlighting the potential savings which could be realized by outsourcing certain types of conditioning or rationalizing certain practices. The object of this study is to determine most finely, the possible unit costs of the various types of conditioning used for the sterilization of the MD, within the service of sterilization of the clinic Arago. The knowledge of such costs will then allow us to compare quantitatively the internal service with the offer of an external person, in this particular case - Stérience, with whom the clinic already collaborates. This will allow us an opportunity to appreciate the opportunity of a possible outsourcing. Then simulations will be led to measure the impact of a rationalization of the management of the out-of-date objective. They are not presented here.
[...] Such an initiative can be explained by the fact that a renewal of the equipment of the service of sterilisation seems inevitable in court or middle term. The service such as it exists today, considering the amortized machines and the staffs of management not involved in the operational functioning of the process of sterilisation, only costs a year. The unit costs of the conditionings produced in small quantity are logically brought up because of the importance of the incompressible loads, disconnected from the level of activity, which are the staff and the amortization of machines. [...]
[...] It gives the cost by UO for every activity (i.e. the average cost by activity of a type of not yet differentiated conditioning), the total cost of every activity, the total cost of every type of conditioning, the number of every type of conditioning and finally the cost of a unity of every type of conditioning which it costs to the clinic to sterilise. As regards containers sterilized by Stérience, it is the number of packaged products and not sterilized products that will be retained for the calculation of the cost by unity. [...]
[...] At first, a description of the process will be made to put the bases of the study and clarify a little more its object. Then the study strictly speaking will be led, and peripheral analyses will be driven to answer the expressed problems higher. Finally, a synthesis grouping the main results will be drafted. Overview of the process Studied process: sterilisation Main activities: Disinfect articles by soaking in a disinfecting solution. Receive articles in the airlock of entrance of the sterilisation. Clean articles with hands or in the machine according to their nature. Condition articles in bags or in containers. [...]
[...] On the other hand, the unit cost by sachet seems raised in comparison to the offer of the external person (near twice as high). It could then be possible to externalize the only sachets, but the presence of important incompressible loads would risk compromising the supposed economy to result from it (these loads, as the cost of the staff, would pour on the other types of conditioning and would then come to burden their costs). Concerning tablelands, the problem is close to which met for sachets, but differ from it because the cost of tablelands represents only a limited part of the total cost of the service (less than 10 Furthermore, this type of conditioning exists on the market at a price 4 times less high than the internal cost. [...]
[...] The rest of the progress of the study is itemized in the returned report. Analyses and simulations were then realized towards the led observations and the remarks formulated by the diverse speakers (notably the agents of sterilisation). These aimed to answer the questions which arose originally on the service (opportunity of outsourcing), or to identify the possible practicable opportunities for savings by rationalization or by changing the methods. Progress report Introduction and problematic This study aims at estimating the costs of various conditionings sterilized by the clinic to compare these costs with prices proposed by external persons.
