Techniques have diversified and became more and more aggressive, addressing to an increasing number of costumers and implying a higher number of companies, in fact, how could survive a company which doesn't make itself heard nowadays, but are they considered an advantage or rather a disadvantage for the average costumer and producer?
[...] In many cases, advertising in supermarkets gives the possibility to test the product before we buy, and that may be a good point in sustaining advertising. There is also the tendency that only premium or above the average products are advertised, so the costumers who seek for quality could have a start point. Nevertheless, costumers could be trapped in the producer's web, which in the hurry for profit and a higher volume of sales cheat and create a false image of the product, in many cases by not letting us see or know the negative parts of the product or by exaggerating their qualities, as for the toothpaste which promises to clean your teeth in less than 10 days, or by connecting a car to the nature in an ad, even that the car may be a resource eater and a big pollutant. Advertising is a relatively recent Marketing technique, but which encountered a huge expansion in the last few decades. It all started with the famous soap operas, financed by popular companies, such as Procter & Gamble, which were convinced that promoting their name at the end of the show they will gain popularity between the viewers, especially women for that kind of show. In fact, a producer may find himself in the situation when he is investing a lot of money to reach and inform some people who may never come into the shop and buy from him. Apart from the money spent, for a producer advertising supposes a big amount of time, innovation and in most of the cases, special employees to deal with it, which increases the manager's job and also the enterprise's management, becomes difficult.
